Forest Health Walking Tour and BBQ – October 4, 12:00pm to 5:00pm
San Juan Headwaters wants to CELEBRATE with you!!!
Throughout this past summer the San Juan Headwaters Forest Health Partnership (San Juan Headwaters) offered four opportunities for citizens of the region to learn about forest health and help monitor forest conditions. Nearly 30 volunteers participated. The volunteers learned about threats to the forest, how forest health connects to water quality, and what wildlife need from forests to have healthy populations. The volunteers participated in forest monitoring that help inform management decisions and determine the effectiveness of forest restoration efforts.
San Juan Headwaters and its partners would like to invite the community to celebrate the hard work of the volunteers that participated in the citizen science program and to learn about the proposed project work on Reservoir Hill.
October 4, from 12pm to 5:00pm, on Reservoir Hill.
