Regional Partnerships and Projects

San Juan Headwaters participates in a larger collaborative group called the 2 Watersheds – 3 Rivers – 2 States Cohesive Strategy Partnership. This is a collaborative of collaboratives, covering over 5 million acres in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico.

The largest project of the 2-3-2 is the Rio Chama Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Project, covering 3.8 million acres, including acreage in the Headwaters landscape.

The Southwest Colorado CFLRP includes the western portion of the Headwaters landscape and extends west into Mineral, Hinsdale, La Plata, San Juan, Montezuma, and Dolores counties.
