Agencies plan guided tour of area forest

The San Juan Headwaters Forest Health Partnership (SJHFHP) is partnering with organizations including Firewise Southwest Colorado, the Mountain Studies Institute, and the U.S. Forest Service to offer a guided tour of the forest in the San Juan Forest Pagosa Ranger District on May 22.

According to the SJHFHP, the purpose of the driving tour is to, “highlight healthy forests and watersheds, various treatment types, private landowner management efforts, and provide information about what makes resilient forests and resilient communities.”
